Published in Brighton by Justice? since 1994. SchNEWS was born in a squatted Courthouse in Brighton in 1994 as part of Justice? – Brighton’s campaign against the Criminal Justice Act. It has, according to the publishers, a print-run of 2,000 each week. There are also over 11,500 email subscribers.

The material in this collection was assembled from a number of individual collections donated to the Spirit of Revolt project. The decision to remove items from individual collections to construct complete, or near complete, runs of publications was taken to reduce duplications and make the publications more accessible to researchers.
