Administrative History
Counter Information was published in Edinburgh between 1984 and 2004. Counter Information began during the miners’ strike and was initially intended to counter the perceived bias against the miners in the mainstream media. After the miners’ strike had ended the collective behind Counter Information decided to continue the news-sheet. The normal print run for Counter Information was 12,000 and the project was funded by members of the collective and donations from supporters.
