Administrative History

Class War was set up by Ian Bone and others in 1983. The group behind the magazine had its origins in Swansea where a local community group produced a local paper called The Alarm. Following a move of members of the group to London, the London Autonomists (including Martin Wright and Pete Mastin) became involved. A decision was made to produce a tabloid-style newspaper which would reach a wider audience.
